  1. Phillips ToUcam Pro Webcam

    I use the webcam with two telescopes: the VC200L reflector and the sp102 refractor. The image plane size per pixel corresponds to
    Plate Scale = ( 206265/focal length mm ) arc seconds per mm in the focal plane.
    This further breaks down to
    Pixel scale (arc secs per pixel ) = Plate Scale * pixel size ( mm )
    So the relevant image scales are ( assuming 5.6 μm pixels ):

  2. Nikon Coolpix cp5700

    I use the still digital cameras with the same telescopes. They are both non-SLRs so require afocal projection ( i.e. ue projection via an intermediary lens, through the camera lens on to the detector. The intermediary lens can be either a Barlow or an eyepiece or some other simple lens. The requirement is that the lens be capable of forming an image at infinity for the camera lens to focus.
